The above portrait was inspired by the words of John Betjamin in his poem, 'The Licorice Fields At Pontefract', and was exhibited at the Liquorice Allsorts exhibition in Pontefract Museum in 2009.
I am inspired by events of life when creating pieces for commission and exhibition, and also hold workshops for Adult Education, Schools and the Community, all throughout the UK.
Be-jewelled colours found in glass such as stained, dichroic, millifiori, mirrored, and beads, feature strongly in my work, as I find their strength, brilliance and lustre exciting to work with.
